Master Part 6 of StarCraft II! This guide covers train defense, securing Terrazine gas, and defeating Protoss forces with unit upgrades and strategic tips.

Alright, let's dive into Part 6. This section is going to feel a bit like a juggling act, dealing with incoming trains while also pushing out to secure resources and objectives. Don't worry, we'll break it down step-by-step.

Part 6: Train Defense and Resource Gathering

First things first, get your base set up. Head north from your starting position and build an Armory and an Engineering Bay. These are crucial for upgrading your troops. While those are building, start churning out Marauders and Diamondbacks. Keep an eye on your unit composition; make sure you eventually have about 5 Medics and 2 SCVs accompanying your main force for healing and repairs.

The Fourth Train: This one comes from the middle tracks. Head towards the loop southeast of your base. This time, it's escorted by 4 Firebats and 6 Marines. Your priority is to eliminate the escort first, then focus on the train itself. After you've dealt with it, gather up the resources. You'll likely face another attack on your base shortly after, this time with Firebats and Goliaths.

The Fifth Train: This train approaches from the northern tracks. Position your forces near the ramp leading down from your base to the north. The escort includes 4 Firebats, 4 Marines, and 2 Marauders. Take them out, destroy the train, and gather the resources. Be prepared for a Dominion hit squad of about a dozen Marauders heading your way afterward; they hit hard, so expect some losses.

The Sixth Train (Fast Train): This one comes from the middle track. Have your army ready to intercept it at the usual loop. Don't let the speed intimidate you; with a sufficiently large force, it won't make much difference. You'll face some smaller attacks on your base after this, but they shouldn't be as threatening as the Marauder force.

The Seventh Train: This train comes from the north. Send your forces to meet it. Destroy the fast-moving train and gather the resources.

The Eighth and Final Train: This is it! The final train comes from the middle tracks. Head to the loop near your southwestern ramp. Expect heavy resistance here, but your established force should handle it. The escort includes a Raven, 4 Marines, 4 Goliaths, and 2 Siege Tanks. Defeat them, destroy the train, and you'll win the mission.

Artifact - Mission 3.2 - Welcome to the Jungle

This mission is all about securing Terrazine Gas on Bel'shir. You'll get 120,000 credits, +3 Protoss Research, and unlock the Goliath. There are also 3 Protoss Relics to find for an extra research bonus.

You start with a solid base: Command Center, Barracks, Factory with a Tech Lab, Engineering Bay, Refinery, Missile Turret, and 2 Supply Depots. Your starting army is 2 Marines, 3 Goliaths, and 5 SCVs. Get your SCVs mining minerals immediately. Aim for 1 SCV per mineral patch, 3 on the refinery, and 2 dedicated to building and repairing.

For this mission, you'll want to focus on producing Goliaths, Medics, and Marauders. Don't send any SCVs to gather Terrazine gas just yet. You can buy yourself time by waiting for the Protoss to make contact. Use this period to build up your Goliaths, Marauders, and an Armory to upgrade your Goliaths.

Securing Terrazine and Relics:

As soon as you get an incoming transmission from the Protoss, send a single SCV to the western altar to gather Terrazine. Simultaneously, send your main force and a second SCV to the trio of altars northwest of your base. Start gathering from one of these altars while protecting your SCV. Once gathered, follow the SCV back home and grab the first Protoss Relic located just north of your base, down the northern ramp.

Your main objective is to prevent the Protoss from sealing the 7 altars. However, don't launch a major assault until you have a solid force: 6 Goliaths, 5 Marauders, and 2 Medics. Once you're ready, strike out at the Protoss base located north of your own, and north of that first Protoss Relic. Remember to prioritize taking out Pylons powering cannons whenever possible. Your initial engagement will likely involve 2 Scouts, 1 Stalker, 2 Cannons, and a Void Ray. After defeating them, move further in. If you destroyed the Pylons, you'll find an unpowered cannon with no other resistance. Clear this area.

Next, head out the north ramp to take out the cannons, Stalkers, and Scouts guarding the three altars there. Then, push east to stop the Protoss from sealing another altar. If you still have your 2 SCVs with your army for repairs, set them to gathering gas from the two easternmost altars. Afterward, return to the cleared Protoss base.

Keep reinforcing your squad with Goliaths, Marauders, and Medics. This is a slow-producing stage, so ensure you have Medics and SCVs ready to keep your troops alive. By now, you should have gathered from 4 out of 7 altars. The remaining three are the trio north of the cleared area.

Finding the Remaining Relics:

Before tackling those last altars, let's find the other two Protoss Relics. Head northeast from the cleared Protoss base, north of the eastern trio of altars. Look for cut stone pavement and follow it northeast. You'll encounter 4 Zealots and 2 Cannons – defeat them and claim the relic.

For the final relic, head northwest from the cleared Protoss base, past the near trio of altars, towards the west side altars. You'll find the last relic out in the open. Once you have it, fly your Command Center to the trio of altars northwest of the cleared base. Land it there, send all your forces to it, have your SCVs start gathering the Terrazine, and wait for victory.

Back at the Hyperion, you'll gain access to Tier I Protoss research. If you're following the suggested path, choose Vanadium Plating.

Mengsk - Mission 4.1 - Cutthroat

This mission objective is to meet with Colonel Orlan. You'll earn 120,000 credits, gain +3 Protoss Research, and unlock the Vulture. There's also a bonus objective to find 3 Protoss Relic Contraband for an extra research bonus. Crucially, you'll need to buy a Merc Contract before meeting Orlan for 6000 minerals.

At the beginning of this mission, your base...
