StarCraft II Part 7 walkthrough: Recover the Xel'Naga Artifact, destroy the temple door, and unlock the Siege Tank.
Walkthrough
- 1Start by queuing up 5 SCVs and 2 medics. Have your marines gather crates for resources.
- 2Move marines out the northern exit to gather more resources. Do NOT engage troops to the north until you have a medic.
- 3Once you clear the first set of marines, 4 vultures will be dropped in. Add them to your forces and head to the northern Orlan base.
- 4Start queuing up Vultures and Marauders. Get an SCV with your forces to repair the vultures.
- 5Destroy the first base, then gather resources in the area and to the west. Destroy the salvaged scrap just west of the destroyed command center to reach your first Protoss Relic.
- 6Head back to your base and exit the southwest side. Destroy the downed ship near this exit to claim your second Protoss Relic.
- 7With 5 more vultures added to your forces, head to the southern base. Kill the few marines and single medic, then destroy the Command Center and SCVs.
- 8Loop south, then west, then north to position yourself between the destroyed base and the third base southwest of your base. Destroy the salvaged scrap here to reach your third Protoss Relic.
- 9Invade the third and final gathering base of Olrans. Face marines, a medic, and a goliath. Build up marauder forces and add goliaths for anti-air. Keep medics handy.
- 10Keep slow forces at home and send vultures to gather resources. Eventually, you will have 6000 minerals to buy your merc contract.
- 11Gather all your troops and head for Orlan's primary base. Clear it out to finish the stage.
- 12Back at the Hyperion, access your Tier II Protoss research and choose Micro-Filtering.
- 13In Mission 4.2, The Dig, you start with 2 medics, 4 marines, and 1 marauder dropped west. Make your way south, encountering 2 zealots and a striker.
- 14Further south, two siege tanks are dropped in. Manually target the pylon with them, then let them take out cannons.
- 15Head east; when you see the striker, set up the siege tanks on the ridge. Wait for a second striker before moving your tanks.
- 16Move north along the path and claim your base. You start with a Command Center, Merc Compound, Barracks, Factory with a tech lab, Engineering Bay, and 3 supply depots, plus 7 SCVs.
- 17Set SCVs to gathering minerals and queue more SCVs. Place one siege tank in siege mode at the top of the north exit and the second at the top of the east exit. Give each a backup once you have 2 more siege engines.
- 18Queue up 12 marines and place them in bunkers at the top of each base exit. Slowly pump out goliaths and marauders. Make a third pair of siege tanks to support the others, and build supply depots.
- 19When the Temple Door has taken about 24k damage, you gain manual control of the laser drill. Click it and right-click on Protoss in visible range to target them.
- 20Continue slow troop production until you have 2 medics, 6 marauders, and 3 goliaths.
- 21Head southeast out of your base to the open area. Continue past it to encounter a Protoss cannon and pylon.
- 22Continue to the end of the path, veering slightly south and up a ramp to a Xel'Naga shrine. Destroy it with the Laser Drill to retrieve the first Protoss Relic.
- 23Head back down the hill to the next shrine and destroy it, gathering the second Protoss Relic.
- 24Send your force back to your base, then northwest to the third and final relic. Destroy the Protoss cannon and pylon at the third shrine and recover the relic.
- 25Conserve resources and watch for incoming attacks. Use the drill when necessary. Your ground attack force is mainly for defense.
- 26Use the drill to kill archons and troop transports. Your 3 siege tanks and single bunkers with 6 marines should handle other forces. Target Colossus with the drill.
- 27Continue this strategy until the door falls.
