The Zora's Flippers

Learn how to get the Zora's Flippers in The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds! This guide covers Zora's Domain and Lake Hylia.

Alright, so you've made it to Zora's Domain! First things first, swim down that big waterfall like you did before. But this time, instead of going forward, swim backwards into the cave behind it. You'll find a Piece of Heart waiting for you in there!

Once you've snagged that, head back outside and swim left to the next area. You're now in the river behind the Witch's Hut. Keep swimming left until you reach the next screen. Look for a set of stairs leading back to dry land and head up them.

Back on solid ground, you'll see a huge waterfall to your left. Just ahead, stuck on the wall, is Maimai #31. Give that little guy a home and then jump back into the water.

Now, remember that smooth gem you got earlier? Head back to Zora's Domain with it. Go up to the queen's pool and toss the gem in. Queen Oren will be pleased and reward you with the Zora's Flippers! These are super important because they let you swim in deep water. You can press B to swim faster and hold A to dive underwater for a bit.

Try them out! Head out into the deep water and dive down to find Maimai #35 and some rupees. After that, swim down the waterfall below you and head right, then down to the next screen.

Follow the river down to the next screen. Keep going until you spot a wooden bridge. Swim right under it. Just past the bridge, dive down to rescue Maimai #32. Then, follow the river all the way down. At the very end, you'll find another set of stairs leading back to land. Hop out and dry off – the swimming part is done for now, but you'll be back in the water soon enough!

With your new Zora's Flippers, you can now finally get to the House of Gales in Lake Hylia. If you haven't been there yet, just head one screen right and one screen down from Link's House. Lake Hylia is massive, and the House of Gales is smack-dab in the middle on an island. To get there, jump into the water from the north side of the lake and swim right towards the shallow area with the wooden stump.
