Master the BONELAB Hub! Learn how to unlock energy cores using the BOSSCLAW, navigate modules, and access new areas in this essential guide.

Alright, so you've made it to the BONELAB Hub, also known as the Special Projects Area. This is your main base of operations, the place where you'll access all the game's main gamemodes and really start diving into the campaign. Think of it as your central hub – you'll be coming back here a lot. There are six modules here that let you jump into different themed maps, and you've also got the Bodymall where you can switch up your avatar. Let's get this place unlocked!

Unlocking the Left Side

After you've explored three of the main modules, you'll notice some boxes pop up above them. These boxes contain energy cores, and they'll create these cool pillars of light. Your next job is to head over to the control room. Inside, you'll get to pilot a BOSSCLAW, which is basically a big robotic arm. You've got a lever to extend and retract it, controls to move it forwards and side-to-side on its rails, and a button to toggle its magnetic gravity field.

You'll want to use the minimap to guide the BOSSCLAW. Your goal is to pick up those energy cores you saw earlier and bring them back to one of the six tubes located on either side of the control room. When a core gets close enough to a tube, it'll snap right in. You need to get three cores into these pipes to unlock the big quarantine airlock door on the right side of the control room. Don't worry if it takes a few tries to get the hang of the controls – it's a bit tricky at first!

Unlocking the Right Side

Once you've progressed further in the game and find yourself back in the Hub, it's time to open up the rest of the area. You'll need to explore the remaining modules and retrieve their energy cores, just like you did before. After all six cores are slotted into their respective pipes, the big BONEWORKS door, located to the right of the control area, will finally be openable. This is your gateway to the next major section of the game.

Hidden Room

For those who like to explore every nook and cranny, there's a hidden area accessible through the metal vents underneath the main lab. Follow these corridors, and you'll find a couple of walls with hand-drawn doors. If you've found one of the keycards scattered around, you can use it to pass through one of these walls. Doing so will land you in a room connected to the Lab, but it's actually located beneath District 05 of MythOS City. The purpose of the other hand-drawn door is still a bit of a mystery!
