Navigating the Flooded Passages

Master the BONELAB Hub! Learn how to unlock modules, pilot the BOSSCLAW, and find the hidden room. Your guide to navigating the Special Projects Area.

Alright, so you've just landed in the BONELAB Hub, also known as the Special Projects Area. This is your main hangout spot in BONELAB, connecting you to all the main game modes and serving as a crucial point in the campaign. Think of it as your central command for exploring different maps and setting up your new avatars at the Bodymall.

Unlocking the Left Side:

First things first, you'll need to explore three of the main modules. Once you've done that, keep an eye out for energy cores that'll pop up above them, creating these cool pillars of light. Your next mission is to head to the control room. This is where things get interesting – you'll get to pilot a BOSSCLAW! You've got a lever to extend and retract it, plus controls to move it forward and side-to-side on its rails. There's also a button to toggle the BOSSCLAW's magnetic gravity field. Using the minimap is key here. You need to guide the BOSSCLAW to those energy cores you spotted earlier and activate its gravity field. This'll pull the cores towards the BOSSCLAW. Once they're attached, you'll need to bring them over to one of the six tubes flanking the control room. They'll snap into place automatically when you're close enough. Just get three cores into these pipes, and the massive quarantine airlock to your right will unlock, letting you progress.

Unlocking the Right Side:

After you've been sent back to the Hub later in the game, you'll need to tackle the remaining modules and grab their cores, just like before. Once all six cores are slotted into their respective pipes, the door leading to BONEWORKS on the right side of the control area will finally open up.

Hidden Room:

For those looking for a little extra exploration, head into the metal vents beneath the lab. You'll find a maze of corridors that eventually lead to two walls with hand-drawn doors. If you've found one of the keycards (they're hidden in Stress Level Zero's offices), you can use it to pass through one of these walls. Doing so will land you in a room connected to the Lab, but it's actually located underneath District 05 of MythOS City. The second hand-drawn door's purpose is still a bit of a mystery!
