Dive into BoneLab's modding scene! Learn how to find, install, and manage custom content to enhance your gameplay experience with our easy-to-follow guide.

Alright, let’s talk about making BoneLab even cooler with mods and custom content! Think of this as your backstage pass to all the awesome stuff the community has created. We'll walk through how to find these gems and get them working in your game, so you can really make BoneLab your own.

The BONELAB Hub, also known as the Special Projects Area, is your central command for everything. It’s where you’ll access different game modes and where you can swap out your avatar at the Bodymall. It’s basically the game’s main hub, connecting you to all sorts of adventures.

You’ll encounter some interesting characters and creatures here. Keep an eye out for the little Crablet, and if you’re unlucky, you might run into the BOSSCLAW. These are just a taste of what the game throws at you.

When you first start in the BONELAB Hub, you’ll be in the Conceptual Isolation Chamber. You can either force your way out or find a way through the roof. Once you’re out, the music kicks in, and you’ll see a bulletin board pointing you towards three main modules. These are your gateways to new maps and experiences.

To get things moving, you’ll need to explore these modules. After you’ve checked out three of them, you’ll see these glowing energy cores pop up above them. Your next task is to head to the control room. Here’s where it gets interesting: you’ll get to pilot a BOSSCLAW! You’ve got controls to extend it, move it around on its rails, and most importantly, toggle its magnetic gravity field. Your mission is to use the minimap to guide the BOSSCLAW to those energy cores. Once they’re attached, you need to bring them back to one of the six tubes flanking the control room. They’ll snap into place automatically when you’re close enough. Get three cores into their pipes, and you’ll unlock a huge quarantine airlock.

After you’ve made some progress in the game and are sent back to the Hub, you’ll need to tackle the remaining modules and collect their cores. Once all six cores are in their pipes, a door labeled BONEWORKS will open up to the right of the control area. This is your path forward.

There’s also a secret area hidden away. If you head into the metal vents beneath the lab, you’ll find some corridors leading to walls with hand-drawn doors. If you’ve found keycards from Stress Level Zero's offices, you can use one to pass through a wall. This leads you to a room connected to the Lab, but it’s actually located underneath MythOS City. There’s another hand-drawn door there, but its purpose is still a mystery.

And finally, keep an ear out for the Bonelab Voice lines. You might hear things like “Next Transit Arrival Expected At 2” or “Only Approved Fantasy Clearance 3.” These add to the atmosphere and lore of the game.
