Master the BONELAB Hub! Learn how to unlock modules, pilot the BOSSCLAW, collect energy cores, and access new avatars in this essential guide.
Alright, so you've made it to the BONELAB Hub, also known as the Special Projects Area. Think of this place as your main base of operations in the game. It's where you'll access the six main game modes and really start diving into the campaign. You'll also find the Bodymall here, which is super important for swapping out your avatar.
Right when you arrive, you'll be tasked with exploring three different modules. Once you've done that, keep an eye out for glowing pillars of light – these mark where the energy cores have unlocked above them. Your next big objective is to head to the control room.
Unlocking the Left Side
In the control room, you'll get to pilot a BOSSCLAW. It's got a few controls: a lever to extend and retract it, directional controls to move it along its rails, and a button to toggle its magnetic gravity field. Your mission here is to use the minimap to guide the BOSSCLAW to those energy cores you saw earlier. Once they snap onto the BOSSCLAW, you need to bring them over to one of the six tubes flanking the control room. They'll automatically attach when you get close enough. You'll need to get three energy cores into these tubes to unlock the massive quarantine airlock on the right side of the control room.
Unlocking the Right Side
After you've progressed a bit further in the game and find yourself back in the Hub, it's time to tackle the remaining modules. Just like before, once you've explored them, you'll need to collect their cores. When all six energy cores are attached to their pipes, the BONEWORKS door to the right of the control area will finally open up for you.
Hidden Room
If you're feeling adventurous, you can explore the metal vents beneath the lab. Follow the corridors, and you'll find a couple of walls with hand-drawn doors. If you've found one of the keycards scattered around, you can use it on one of these walls to enter a secret room. This room is actually connected to the Lab but is physically located beneath District 05 of MythOS City. What the second hand-drawn door is for, though, is still a bit of a mystery!
