The Monogon Sentinel — BoneLab Walkthrough

Your essential guide to the BONELAB Hub! Learn how to unlock modules, pilot the BOSSCLAW, and find the hidden room in this walkthrough for BONELAB.

Alright, so you've just landed in the BONELAB Hub, also known as the Special Projects Area. This is basically your main base of operations for the entire game, and it's where you'll access all the different game modes. Think of it as the central station for your adventures.

You'll start off in the Conceptual Isolation Chamber after that whole ordeal in Descent. You can either muscle your way out of the doors or find a way through the roof hatch. Once you're out, the track 'Would You Even Know' will kick in, and you'll see a bulletin board. This board is your quest log for the Hub, pointing you towards three main modules you need to explore.

Unlocking the Left Side

After you've tackled those first three modules, you'll notice these things called energy cores popping up above them. They'll create these cool pillars of light, showing you where to go next. Your next mission is to head to the control room. Inside, you'll get to take the controls of a BOSSCLAW. It's this big mechanical arm thing that you can move around using a lever to extend and retract it, and other controls to move it side-to-side on its tracks. There's also a button to turn on its magnetic gravity field.

Your goal here is to use the minimap to guide the BOSSCLAW to those energy cores. Once you get close enough, activate the magnetic field, and the cores will snap right onto the BOSSCLAW. Then, you need to bring them over to one of the six tubes located on either side of the control room. They'll automatically latch onto the pipes when you're in range. To unlock the massive quarantine airlock on the right side of the control room, you just need to get three of these energy cores into their respective pipes.

Unlocking the Right Side

Once you've made some progress in the game and find yourself back in the Hub, it's time to finish up. You'll need to explore the remaining modules and collect their energy cores, just like you did before. When all six cores are slotted into their pipes, the BONEWORKS door, located to the right of the control area, will finally open up for you.

Hidden Room

Now for a little secret! Head into the metal vents located underneath the main lab area. You'll find a maze of corridors that eventually lead to two walls, both with hand-drawn doors. If you've found one of the keycards scattered around, you can use it on one of these walls to pass through. This will take you to a room that's connected to the Lab, but it's actually located beneath District 05 of MythOS City. What the second hand-drawn door is for, though? That's still a mystery!
