Complete the A Guardian Rises mission on Earth in destiny. Learn about Fallen enemies, Spinmetal Leaves, and defeating Rahn, Devil Captain.
Walkthrough
- 1After character creation, follow your Ghost towards the great wall in the Cosmodrome, Old Russia. Stay on the upper path to avoid piles of cars.
- 2Enter the building and follow your Ghost. Be aware that Fallen enemies are now aware of your presence.
- 3Proceed through the gate on your right and collect the rifle.
- 4Engage your first Fallen enemies: Dregs (short, rifle-wielding) and Vandals (stronger, pulse rifles, more health). Aim for headshots for critical damage. Focus on Vandals or rush Dregs.
- 5Continue across the walkway to find a Loot Chest containing a Special Weapon. White ammo boxes are for Primary weapons, green for Special.
- 6Crouch and strafe through the area with trip mines outlined with lasers, firing at approaching Fallen.
- 7Head outside through the spinning fans into a more open area. Use cover (press the cover button to crouch behind walls or objects) to engage Fallen arriving from a dropship.
- 8Your objective is the far left of the area. As you clear Fallen in small rooms, you should approach Level 2.
- 9Upon reaching Level 2, go to your Character Screen and upgrade your Level 2 ability to unlock grenades.
- 10Clear out the remaining Fallen to face the area boss, Rahn, Devil Captain.
- 11Fight Rahn using the pillars for cover. Use a grenade to lower his shield, then fire bursts at his head to stagger him. Duck and cover to regenerate health if needed.
- 12After defeating Rahn and any remaining enemies, you will be sent into orbit.
- 13Upon arriving at The Tower, head to the Vanguard to equip new Armor.
- 14Visit the Gunsmith to acquire one of four new weapons.
- 15Go to the Shipwright to obtain your ship.
- 16Open Nav Mode and select Orbit to leave The Tower.
Tips
- Spinmetal Leaves are a resource found in Old Russia; they are metallic plants that shimmer and blend with shrubbery.
- Loot Chests can be found randomly throughout the areas; Golden ones contain better items.
- Dregs and Vandals can be shot in the head for critical damage.
- When fighting Rahn, use Special Weapons and grenades to break his shields.
