Stock up on essential gear and powerful weapons at the Dwarven Hollows shops in Final Fantasy III. Get the Diamond Bell, Ice Armor, and more!
Alright, so you've done some work with those jobs from the Fire Crystal and it's time to head back to the Dwarven Hollows. Before you do anything else, let's make sure your gear is in top shape. If you're planning on using the Geomancer job, definitely grab the Diamond Bell from the Weapon Shop – it's a solid choice.
First up, let's check out the shops. You can grab some useful consumables at the Item Shop:
| Item Name | Cost |
| Potion | 50 |
| Hi-Potion | 600 |
| Gold Needle | 100 |
| Maiden’s Kiss | 100 |
| Echo Herbs | 100 |
| Mallet | 100 |
| Eye Drops | 40 |
| Antidote | 80 |
Next, the Weapon Shop has some serious firepower:
| Item Name | Cost |
| Tyrfing | 2,000 |
| Ice Staff | 1,500 |
| Diamond Bell | 4,500 |
| Iron Arrow | 8 |
| Holy Arrow | 10 |
And don't forget the Armor Shop for some defensive upgrades:
| Item Name | Cost |
| Ice Armor | 1,250 |
| Ice Helm | 2,400 |
| Ice Shield | 1,200 |
| Kenpo Gi | 2,000 |
| Mage Robe | 2,000 |
Once you're all shopped out, it's time to get that Magic Key. Head back and speak with the guard you met before. Hand over those Horns of Ice, and he'll give you the key. This also unlocks a treasure room for you – make sure to use the southeast passage to get to it!
Inside that treasure trove, you'll find some really neat stuff. Keep an eye out for the Ottershroom (just kidding, it's actually a Teleport item!), the Gauntlets which are great for Knights and Warriors, and the Scholar Robe and Hat if you've got a Scholar in your party. The Knight Armor is the best armor for Knights you'll find so far. Scholars can also use the Books as weapons – pick an element you like! Rangers will want to grab the Medusa Arrows, as they can even Petrify enemies. And finally, the Heroic Shield is a fantastic piece of equipment for Knights and Warriors, boosting stats and protecting against many status ailments.
After you've snagged all that loot, it's time to head out. As you leave, you'll witness a scene with an injured person. Once that's over, we'll be heading back to the overworld.
