Mythril Mines

Navigate the short but undead-filled Mythril Mines in Final Fantasy III. Learn enemy weaknesses and grab free Mythril Swords to save Gil!

Alright, so we're heading into the Mythril Mines! Don't let the name fool you, this place is super short – think of it more like a baby dungeon. Just like the Sealed Cave, it's crawling with undead enemies, so your Wightslayer and Holy Arrows will be super useful here. If you've got the Cure spell, it can actually do some decent damage to them too, and since this place is so brief, you can always pop back to Kazus to refill your MP if needed. Remember to keep your bow-users in the back row to keep them safe!

You'll basically just follow a path for a little bit until you hit a dead end. Zoom in on that dead end with your camera – you're looking for a sparkle in the northwestern corner. Go ahead and examine that sparkle. Then, just keep following the path forward. It's pretty straightforward and will lead you to two chests. Open them up, and bam! You've got two free Mythril Swords. That's a nice 1,000 Gil saved right there, you're welcome!

Once you've grabbed those swords, just backtrack out of the cave. Yep, that's it! Told you it was a short visit.
