From your ship, head south, then west, and follow the hall north. Continue north, then east at the fork to find a new room.
  2. 2
In this room, you must use the Toad spell to transform into a Toad to proceed. You can transform back after passing through this section.
  3. 3
Continue along the path, proceeding after the scene to the next area.
  4. 4
Head west, then south along the hallway to another fork. Go east to find Echo Herbs, then go west and north to the next area.

  7. 7
Go west, bypassing the southbound hallway. After a short scene, move slightly east of the southbound hall. Zoom in with the camera and examine the “door” to reveal a hidden passage.
  8. 8
Follow the hall south and then east just before the room to enter it.
  9. 9
In this hidden room, go south through the hall, then west. Bypass the first northbound hallway and use the second to find Echo Herbs. Use the skipped hallway to reach the next area.

  13. 13
Go west to the next room, then north to another. Exit this room to the east and follow the path to find Sonic Knuckles.
  14. 14
Backtrack to the room and exit through the southeastern corner. Follow the hall to find the way to the next area.
  15. 15
Exit the room through the northwestern corner. Head west, then south when possible. At the fork, go east to find the Salamand Sword, then go west to the wall.
  16. 16
Go north at the fork to find the Flame Mail, then go south to the wall. Head east to find Zeus’s Wrath in a room. Exit this room to the north.
  17. 17
Heal your party and follow the linear path to face the boss.

Boss: Medusa

  • Level: 17
  • Max HP: 3,000
  • EXP Earned: 1,680
  • Gil Earned: 2,600

Medusa's primary threat is her Stare attack, which can turn your party to stone. Use a Gold Needle if necessary. Her offense also includes basic attacks and Thundara. There are no significant weaknesses. Equipping characters with Serpent Swords for dual-wielding is advantageous. A White/Red Mage is recommended for healing. Other party members should focus on attacking or using “-ra” spells. If a Mage runs out of MP, an Elemental Staff can be used as an item for approximately 200 damage.

Tips
  • The monsters in this dungeon include Pugman (171 HP, 96 GIL, 360 EXP), Far Darrig (177 HP, 98 GIL, 360 EXP), Blood Rat (208 HP, 100 GIL, 380 EXP), Petit Mage (196 HP, 101 GIL, 380 EXP), Fury (216 HP, 102 GIL, 380 EXP), and Aughisky (235 HP, 105 GIL, 400 EXP).
  • Furies and Blood Rats are weak to Wind/Aero spells if you remain in Toad form.
  • Treasures found include Echo Herbs, a Bomb Fragment, a Spark Dagger, Sonic Knuckles, a Salamand Sword, Flame Mail, and Zeus’s Wrath.
  • After defeating Medusa, you will be warped to your ship, and the whirlpool near the Tower will disappear.
