Master Chapter 15, Rainbow Sage, in Fire Emblem Fates: Revelation! Learn enemy placements, recruit Nyx and Shura, and seize the Sevenfold Sanctuary.

Alright, welcome to Chapter 15, the Rainbow Sage! This one's a bit of a maze, and you'll need to split your forces to cover both sides of the Sevenfold Sanctuary. The objective here is to Seize the main point, so let's get you prepped.

Walkthrough
  1. 1

    Where: Sevenfold Sanctuary entrance.

What: You'll start with your army ready to advance.

What to do: Split your forces into two teams. You'll only have about four party members per side, so pick your strongest units for each. Crucially, **leave your Avatar at the entrance area** for the first few turns. Trust me, it's worth it, and they can catch up later.

Why this way: This allows your Avatar to be in position to recruit Nyx when she appears, and then move to recruit Shura without wasting turns.

  2. 2

Where: The left and right paths of the Sanctuary.

What: The right side is packed with ranged units like magic users and archers. The left side is more melee-focused, featuring Ninjas (who surprisingly have Lunge!) and Samurai. Generals are also present on both sides, so bring appropriate counters.

What to do: Send your two teams up their respective paths. For the Generals, make sure you have units equipped with Sting Shuriken, Armorslayers, or strong magic users. When approaching the stairs, be mindful of your movement. If you use all your movement points to reach the stairs, you won't be able to move off them, potentially blocking your allies behind you. If you have extra movement, you'll have more freedom to position yourself after climbing.

Why this way: Proper unit selection and positioning ensure you can effectively deal with the diverse enemy types and avoid getting bottlenecked on the stairs.

  3. 3

Where: The right side of the map.

What: On Turn 2, Shura appears as an enemy on the right side. He's a Level 10 Adventurer and is likely the strongest enemy on the map, capable of dealing massive damage to your units.

What to do: Before any of your units engage him or enter his room, use your Avatar to talk to Shura. This recruits him to your side.

Why this way: Talking to Shura before he becomes a threat is essential. If you don't, he'll likely decimate your forces. Once recruited, he's a powerful ally, but be aware he can also be an experience hog.

  4. 4

    Where: The entrance area.

What: On Turn 3, Nyx appears at the entrance.

What to do: Use your Avatar to talk to Nyx. This recruits her as a Dark Mage.

Why this way: Recruiting Nyx early is important. She's a low-level, unpromoted unit and is quite fragile in Revelations, easily one-shotted by most enemies on this map. You can use her to finish off weakened foes for some experience, but she'll require significant investment (TLC!) to become truly useful.

  5. 5

    Where: The main objective area.

What: After recruiting everyone, opening chests, and defeating the boss.

What to do: Seize the objective point.

Why this way: This completes the chapter objective and allows you to progress.

  6. 6

Where: MyCastle, after the chapter concludes.

What: Jakob or Felicia will join you permanently.

What to do: If you play as a male Avatar, Jakob joins. If you play as a female Avatar, Felicia joins.

Why this way: This is a permanent addition to your roster, though they will likely need a lot of attention to be effective this late in the game.

Tips
  • Remember to split your forces effectively. Don't send everyone down one path.
  • Prioritize recruiting Shura on Turn 2 and Nyx on Turn 3 with your Avatar.
  • Be cautious when moving up stairs; conserve movement for better positioning.
  • Bring units effective against armored foes like Generals.
  • Nyx is very fragile; use her carefully for experience or be prepared to invest heavily in her growth.
  • Once you've cleared the map and seized the objective, your Avatar will acquire the Alpha Yato.
  • Alpha Yato (for Avatar)
  • Permanent recruitment of Jakob or Felicia
  • Nyx and Shura join your army
