Shotgun Upgrades

Your trusty shotgun can be modified in a few key ways. These upgrades are generally split into Tiers, so you'll unlock more options as you progress.

Reload Boost	This allows you to mount your shells for faster reloads.
12 Gauge Slugs	This allows you to do maximum damage. When used you cannot use any other ammo for the weapon.
Rail Mount	This is used for the Red Dot Sight upgrade.
Short Barrel	This adds a short barrel to your shotgun which increases damage but makes it less precise. This upgrade also excludes the use of the Silencer Type 1.
Laser Sight	A basic laser sight that allows you to be a bit more precise.
Magazine	This adds four extra slugs and increases your rate of fire.
Red Dot Sight	This is a two-level zoom red dot scope that maximizes your precision. This also requires the Rail Mount upgrade.
Silencer Type 1	This adds a silencer to the end of the shotgun. Cannot be used with the Short Barrel upgrade.

SMG Tactical (MP5A2) Upgrades

The SMG, based on the MP5A2, is a great concealed weapon that can also be seriously customized. It's a bit more versatile in its upgrade paths.

Upgrade	Effect
Butt Stock (Tier 1)	This adds a butt stock to the rear of the weapon which reduces recoil and increases precision.
Low Velocity Ammo	This fires slower and has less power than other ammo. But this allows it to be more silent and creates less recoil. .
Butt Stock (Tier 1 - Alternate)	This adds a different style of butt stock to the rear of the weapon that can reduce recoil and increase precision.
Extra Ammo	You get two extra clips plus all of your clips will be expanded.
Rail Mount	This is used for the Red Dot Sight upgrade.
Magnum Ammo	This ammo has more power and can penetrate doors. But this also creates more recoil. .
Rapid Fire	This will greatly increase the rate of fire from the SMG. However, this also has more recoil because of the rapid firing.
Short Barrel	This adds a short barrel to your SMG which increases damage but makes it less precise.
Silencer Type 1	A basic silencer that makes the weapon more quiet but does less damage. Cannot be used with the Silencer Type 2 upgrade.
Laser Sight	A basic laser sight.

Pro Tip: Mix and match these to suit your playstyle. Need to clear a room fast? Load up on Magnum Ammo and Rapid Fire for the SMG. Going for a stealthier approach?
