Alpha Rockworm Valmo, Monstrous Maneater

Prepare for the battle by ensuring you have access to ice attacks. It is recommended to have at least one character with the Mage class to learn Blizz. This skill can then be inherited onto other classes.

To maximize ice damage, pair a Mage with a Seeker to learn Gablizz, an area-of-effect ice spell, which costs only two more MP than Blizz.

Consider purchasing accessories that prevent Paralysis from Gloamhall in Grand Trad. This shop is only open at night and the accessories can be expensive.

Upon entering Man-Eater’s Grotto, proceed through the dungeon to reach the Alpha Rockworm Valmo at the end.

Warning: You will face two Alpha Rockworm Valmos at once. You must defeat both of them on the same turn. If you defeat one, the other will summon a new one.

Use Gablizz extensively as the Alpha Rockworm Valmo is weak to ice. This will help regain turn icons.

Be aware of the Sandstorm attack, which damages the entire party and reduces hit rate and evasion. This can cause attacks, including Gablizz, to miss, potentially costing you turn icons.

Watch out for Paralysis Fang, which can force your characters to waste actions unless you have protection from the ailment.

Be cautious of Fire Breath, which deals significant damage and targets the weakness of the Seeker class.

Use Medi for healing, ideally on two characters, to manage the party's health.

Spread out single-target attacks between the two Valmos while focusing on dealing damage with Gablizz.

Upon defeating both Alpha Rockworm Valmos in the same round, the bounty is complete. You can then leave the dungeon via the save point outside the boss room or by returning to the entrance.
