Hey there! So, you've run into the Treebeast Alento, huh? Don't let the name fool you, this isn't a super tough boss, more like a warm-up you'll see again later in the dungeon. It's pretty straightforward, so let's get you through it.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Weakness: Fire
• Resists: All other elements
• Physical: Takes full damage

Phases:

1. Opening Moves: The Treebeast always starts with Soul Cry to gain two Turn Icons. Then it uses Rydinei, which gives it a regeneration effect of about 400 HP per Turn Icon. After that, it uses Concentrate, boosting its own attack power significantly for three turns.
2. Main Assault: It follows up with Pollen Attack, dealing weak magical Almighty damage to everyone and lowering your Hit/Evasion for three turns. It can also use Gacyclone, which is heavy magical Wind damage to the whole party.

Strategy:

• Fire is Your Friend: Seriously, stick to Fire. If you have Botra or the Commander's Fiery Strike skill, use it! Fiery Strike even has a chance to inflict Burn, which really piles on the damage. Since it resists everything else, don't waste your turns on other elements.
• Watch the Regen: That Rydinei skill is annoying. It heals the boss for about 400 HP every time it gets a Turn Icon. On Normal difficulty, it usually gets two, so that's 800 HP healed per turn! You really need to focus on dealing more damage than it can heal.
• Debuff Management: Pollen Attack can lower your Hit and Evasion. If you have Dekunda from the Healer Archetype, now's the time to use it to clear those nasty debuffs.
• Steal for Loot: If you have the Steal skill, try using it! You can snag a Floral Semaphore weapon for your Commander classes. It's worth a shot if you're not struggling too much.
• End it Quickly: The sooner you defeat the Treebeast, the less time it has to buff itself or heal up. If you can consistently outdamage its regeneration, you'll win this fight without too much trouble. Don't get complacent, though, especially on higher difficulties!
