Walkthrough
- 1Head to Virga Island and speak to Edeni to start the quest. He will identify the Spire of Blind Faith as your target.
- 2Edeni can be spoken to again to attempt to remove the perpetual bad weather around the Spire of Blind Faith.
- 3Travel to the Spire of Blind Faith. The journey takes only one day thanks to the skyrunner.
- 4Prepare for the boss fight against the Devourer of Flames. You will need protection from Fire and Charm.
- 5Protection from Fire:
- The Mad Mischief and Bygone Legacy towers grant a piece of equipment that nullifies fire.
- 6The Flameseal Corselet, obtained by handing in enough Gold Beetles, blocks fire.
- 7The Pure White Shoes from the Disgraced Ruins can be purified at the church to obtain the Crimson Split Shoes, which repel fire.
- 8Protection from Charm:
- The Dragoon class skill Unshaken Will prevents Charm. This requires advancing Heismay's path to Royal Thief.
- 9The Narcissus Brooch, obtained from defeating Milo, prevents Charm. If you haven't done the Defeat Milo quest, find Loveless in Altabury, travel to his runner for a fight, then find Milo in Altabury and defeat him to get the brooch.
- 10The Yggdrasil Crown, received for completing Ranked Battles at the Varmareno Coliseum, prevents Charm.
- 11The New Moon Hairpin, potentially stolen from the Icebeast Chimenzahn bounty, prevents Charm.
- 12The Vivid Ensemble armor, obtained by getting Mossy Threads and identifying them at shops, offers weaker Charm protection. Ensure your main damage dealer and healer are immune to Charm if you only have three party members protected.

Tips
- The Devourer of Flames primarily uses fire-based attacks and has a move that can instantly kill your party if they lack fire protection.
- The boss will repeatedly use Great Dragon’s Wrath to boost its attack until it's maxed.
- Roar debuffs the party’s Attack, Defence, and Hit Rate/Evasion by two ranks for three turns. Use Dekunda or Reset Talismans to remove these debuffs.
- Flamespire of Ruin deals extreme magic Fire damage to one row and has a high chance of inflicting Burn.
- Infernal Breath deals heavy magic Fire damage to all characters and may inflict Burn.
- Bewitching Blaze has a high chance of inflicting Charm on all characters.
- Burn Down deals 9,999 magic Fire damage to all characters unless they nullify or repel fire. This is the primary threat to avoid.
