Your guide to Pyrite Town in Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness! Learn about the ONBS building, finding Kandee, and challenging trainers.

Alright, so you've made it to Pyrite Town! It's a pretty busy place, and you'll see a police officer hassling some punks named Trudly and Folly right off the bat. This is a good spot to get some Trainer battles in, both here in town and over at the Pyrite Colosseum. If your Pokémon need a little pick-me-up, you can head to the Pyrite Hotel – it'll cost you $100, which is pretty cheap, but honestly, healing at the Colosseum is free, so that's usually the way I go. If you do stop by the Hotel, you can snag 3 Great Balls, a Focus Band, and a Paralyze Heal, so it's not a total bust.

Next up, you'll want to head into the ONBS Building. Make your way to the second floor and check out the news show. After that, find Secc in his office, also on the second floor. He's pretty shocked to hear that Cipher's been using their desert lab again and will tell you to take the Data Rom to Nett right away. Keep an eye out for a lost girl named Kandee around here; if you help reunite her with her mom on the third floor, you'll get a Soothe Bell as a thank you. It's a nice little bonus!

Nett is chilling in his office on the very top floor. Detro is guarding the door, but he'll eventually let you in. Once you're with Nett, hand over the Data Rom. He'll admit it's going to take him a bit to figure out what's on it. Bitt will then suggest you check out the Rock Poke Spot, which is one of the three spots Duking's found where you can catch wild Pokémon. It's a good change of pace after all the story stuff.

As you're leaving the ONBS Building, you'll catch Trudly and Folly talking. Turns out, Folly managed to sneak a transmitter onto their boss so they can track him using a Radar. Kinda sneaky, right?

Oh, and a quick heads-up on Battle CDs: you can grab Battle CD 40 from the Researcher's house and Battle CD 22 from Duking's place. You can also snag Battle CDs 38, 36, 24, and 21 from different floors of the ONBS building, but you'll only be able to get those after the Snag Machine gets stolen. Keep that in mind!
