Master Phenac Stadium (2) in Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness! Learn about Cooltrainer Equin, the Orre Colosseum, Shadow Lugia purification, and GBA trading.
Alright, so after you reload your last save, you'll pop back into the Pokémon HQ Lab. Just wander around for a bit, and you'll get a weird, cut-off email from Eagun about the Orre Colosseum. Classic Eagun, right? Head outside to meet him by the steps. He wants to tell you about a Colosseum event, but first, he's gotta test your skills with a battle!
You'll need to take down Eagun. He's got a Pikachu-themed team that likes to spam Rain Dance and Thunder, plus a couple of surprises like Volt Tackle and Brick Break. He shouldn't be too tough, though. Once you beat him, he'll be impressed and invite you to the Orre Colosseum, where you'll find some of the toughest opponents in the game. You can find more details on that in the Colosseums section.
If you manage to win Round 1 of the Orre Colosseum, you can also unlock the Lucky Egg Side Quest. Check the Misc. Stuff section for the lowdown on that. You might also be strong enough now to clear Areas 7-9 of Mt. Battle, but Area 10 will probably need you to be Level 70+.
Now, about that Shadow Lugia – Cipher might say it can't be Purified, but you totally can! If you've got a Maximum Tempo on every Set in the Purify Chamber, pop Shadow Lugia into one. You'll get a special message, and bam! It's purified instantly, no multi-stage process needed for this one.
Big news: you can now trade with your GBA games (Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, FireRed, LeafGreen). Just head down to the basement of the Phenac City Pokémon Center to start. If you want to bring some GBA Pokémon over to Orre or just beef up your team, now's the perfect time to trade!
Here's a cool bonus: if you manage to Snag AND Purify all 83 Shadow Pokémon, you'll get an extra scene before the credits roll after you beat Grand Master Greevil again. It shows you putting the Snag Machine in the HQ as proof you've completed the mission. Professor Krane and Lily will congratulate you, and even the Fortune Teller, Fateen, in Pyrite Town will be amazed. You'll also snag the final Battle CD, Battle CD 46, from where Greevil's chair used to be.
That's pretty much it for major objectives! After this, it's mostly about improving your team, tackling Battle Bingo, and so on. Oh, and remember that Cooltrainer Equin you might have battled? He's got a L50 Sneasel, L50 Grumpig, and L50 Spinda.
