    You'll start by encountering Cipher Peon Fudler. He's got a Machoke, Golem, Fortress, Mantine, and Crobat, all around Level 31.

    Next up is Cipher Peon Angie. She'll send out a Golduck, Hitmontop, Hariyama, and two Shadow Pokemon: Venomoth and Weepinbell, all around Level 32-33.

    After Angie, you'll run into Cipher Peon Acrod. His team includes Grumpig, Seadra, Seaking, Piloswine (all Level 34), and a Camerupt at Level 35.

    After Acrod, you'll find a locked door. Go past it to confront Angie again, who's guarding the stairs up to the Control Machine. Head up those stairs and grab TM26 (Earthquake) before you fight Acrod.

    Once you've dealt with Acrod, use the System Lever to increase the Control Machine's voltage.

    Head back down the stairs. A series of explosions will trigger, and Cipher Peon Smarton will emerge for a battle. He's got a Huntail, Cacturne, Weezing, Ursaring (all Level 35), and a Shadow Arbok at Level 33+. This is your chance to catch the Shadow Arbok and potentially get it with Shadow Half!

    After defeating Smarton, the door that was previously locked will now be open. Head through it to face Cipher Admin Gorigan. He's surprised you've defeated all the Shadow Pokemon Cipher has deployed and decides to take you on himself.

Gorigan's team is quite formidable. He has a Level 59 Espeon, Level 40 Houndoom, Level 43 Ampharos, and Level 43 Sealeo. Be sure to have a strong team ready to take him on!

  • The TM26 (Earthquake) you pick up is a powerful move, so consider teaching it to a suitable Pokemon in your party.
  • When fighting Smarton, keep an eye out for the Shadow Arbok. If you can snag it, the Shadow Half ability can be very useful.
