Guide your way through ONBS in Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness. Battle Cipher Peons, rescue hostages, and confront Commander Exol to recover the vital Data Rom.

Alright, so you've made it to ONBS, the local broadcast station. As soon as you walk in, you'll hear some bad news from the guard: a bunch of shady characters have taken Megg, the receptionist, hostage. It's a safe bet Cipher's behind this, and you'll confirm it soon enough. Head right into the hall, and you'll run into Cipher Peon Rett. After that, unlock the door near the elevator to face off against Cipher Peon Mocor.

1F Battles:

Now, hop on the elevator to the second floor. Be ready, because Torkin pops out of hiding and attacks! After that, you'll find Elox chilling in Nett's office. Chat with Secc; they'll clue you in that Cipher is after Nett and probably wants to keep whatever's on your Data Rom super secret. Over in the newsroom, you'll spot Rixor giving the newsreader, Ancha, a hard time. Keep moving, but watch out – Mesin is blocking your path to the elevator.

Take the elevator up again to the third floor. This is a good spot to use the Healing Machine. You'll need to battle Dilly to rescue Kandee and her mother. After that, you'll find Eldos in another room. When you try to head up the stairs, Lobar will step in and confront you.

Head up to the fourth floor. If you didn't pick Espeon at the start of the game, this is a great opportunity to snag a solid pure Psychic-type Pokémon – Ralts! Once you've dealt with Feldas on the top floor, you can head into Secc's office.

Inside, you'll witness Nett handing over the Data Rom to Cipher Commander Exol. Exol seems to think Nett isn't worried because he's already copied the data. But then, surprise! Cipher has wiped all the data from the ONBS servers, which really shocks Nett. Exol lets Megg go and is about to make his exit, but that's when you step in to confront him.
