Guide to the Pokémon HQ Lab in Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness. Learn about the opening simulator battle, meeting Prof. Krane, and obtaining the Snag Machine.
Walkthrough
- 1The game begins with a battle simulator against a Level 50 Salamance (you) and a Level 50 Metagross (opponent). Use Earthquake twice to win.
- 2You then realize you only have a Level 10 Eevee. Explore the Pokemon HQ Lab.
- 3Head west to meet Professor Krane and your mother, Lily. Agree to find your sister, Jovi.
- 4Explore further and talk to everyone.
- 5Go to your room (west side, ground floor), pick up your PDA from the table, and 3 Potions from the pokeball-shaped chest.
- 6In the upstairs room, talk to Adon, who is hiding. He reveals Jovi is at Dr. Kaminko's house, southeast of the lab.
- 7Before leaving the area, go down the stairs and head west to find 2 Antidotes.
- 8Exit the building to head towards Dr. Kaminko's house.
- 9Upon returning to the Pokemon HQ Lab after visiting Dr. Kaminko's house, meet Professor Krane again. He will give you the Snag Machine, which works on Shadow Pokemon.
- 10Aidan, Professor Krane's assistant, will give you 5 Pokeballs.
- 11Professor Krane is ambushed and taken away by kidnappers.
- 12Chase after them and battle Spy Naps.
- 13During the battle with Spy Naps, you will automatically snag his Shadow Teddiursa. You cannot control your actions in this specific battle; the game forces the snag.
- 14After the battle, Lily and Aidan explain they need a Machine Part from Gateon Port to finish the Purification Chamber. Jovi will offer to take you there.
