[2-6] Internet Play

Learn about Quake internet play, supporting up to 16 players. ISDN recommended for larger matches.

Quake allows you to play with up to 16 players over the internet. For optimal performance, especially when playing against the maximum number of opponents, an ISDN connection is recommended if you have a fast modem.

You can join games that have already started. You can also leave games without causing the match to end, unless you are hosting the game (acting as the server).
