Learn how Quake's Lookspring mechanic returns your view straight ahead when you release the look up/down key.

Lookspring is a camera control mechanic in Quake. When you activate the look up or look down key and then release it, your view immediately snaps back to facing straight ahead. If Lookspring is not active, you would need to move forward a step or two for your view to reset.
