[9-29] E4M5: Hell's Atrium

In the maze of Zombies, a Hell-Knight will be shooting from one level up. If you pressed the correct switch, an elevator nearby will take you to its level. Ride the elevator up and jump into the green slime to obtain the Pentagram of Protection.

From the Hell-Knight's position in secret #1, run across the visible ledges to reach this secret. First, run left and jump over a gap. Turn right and approach the wall, staying next to it. Turn left and jump over another gap to reach a secret area. This area leads to an opening in the room with wooden arches, where you can jump on the arches for more items.

In the room behind the gold door, step on the floor plate in the center to activate an elevator. Ride it up and shoot the red sun symbol to activate a floor section in front of you. Jump across this section to reach a secret room.

At the end of the level, use the silver key to lower a bridge to reach the exit. Instead of crossing the bridge, hop across the sticks sticking out of the lava. This is a difficult maneuver, so save your game frequently. Once safely across, turn left to find a large door that requires the silver key to open. This door leads to the Secret Level E4M8.
