The Factory

The Factory in Rogue Company allows you to refine and combine inventory materials to create new items. After completing Chapter 5 events, access it via a new Main Menu heading.

Factory Blueprints

To create an item, you first need its Blueprint. Upon unlocking the Factory, you'll have Blueprint 17 (Unconscious Defense) and Blueprint 35 (Magical Smelter). Obtain additional Blueprints by talking to NPCs with orange bubbles above their heads; more become available as you progress.

Each Blueprint provides a development plan for the Factory Floor. Introduce materials at the start of an assembly line to create a prototype. Once an item is prototyped, it cannot be recreated in the Factory but will become available for purchase in shops across the galaxy.

Factory Materials

There are 36 Factory Blueprints in total, requiring a substantial amount of materials. Many materials are dropped by defeated enemies, while others are available in limited quantities from shops. It's often necessary to purchase materials when available and return later, as shopkeepers may restock them. Below is a list of materials and their required quantities:

Factory Parts

Various Factory Parts are available for laying out assembly lines. These parts have specific functions:

Smelter	A regular old smelter, capable of melting any metal in a flash.	5
Form Press	A form press's basic task is to form molten metal into a shape while it's still hot.	3
Cooler	A cooler's basic task is to quickly cool formed metal so it retains its shape.	0
Disassembler	A spirited disassembler that looks ready to take apart any machine it faces.	4
Washer	A circuit washer. You can't do anything without one of these.	2
Grinder	A dream-like machine that takes stones and turns them into items.	5
Athanor	An alchemist's smelter, capable of melting any item in a flash. Requires Blueprint 35 (Magical Smelter).	6

Factory Layout

Assembly lines generally consist of Source Tables for raw materials, Factory Parts for refining, Conveyor Tubes to transport refined materials, an Assembler to combine them, and a Completion Table for the final product.

Different materials require specific refining parts:

• Metal: Smelter > Form Press > Cooler
• Mecha: Disassembler
• Circuit: Circuit Washer
• Gem: Grinder
• Alchemy: Athanor

The 'Time' factor for each part is crucial. To ensure all materials reach the Assembler simultaneously, adjust the number of Conveyor Tubes based on the refining time of each material. It is recommended to create the Athanor (Magical Smelter) early on for enhanced refining capabilities.
