Walkthrough
- 1Speak to the Guild Master in the Champion's Guild and ask about the rune plate mail. He will direct you to Oziach in the cliffs west of Edgeville.
- 2Talk to Oziach. Ask him about the dragon-breath shield, then the first piece of the map. He will give you a key. Ask about the second and third map pieces.
- 3Talk to the Oracle at the top of Ice Mountain. She will tell you the items needed to access the room with the map piece: a Crustation Cage (Lobster Pot) from a fishing store, a Bowl that has not seen fire (Unfired bowl) made from clay mixed with water, a Sheet of worm string (Silk) from Varrock clothing store or Ardougne silk stall, and a Drink of the Mage (Wizard's Mind Bomb) from a Falador bar for 2 coins.
- 4Go into the Dwarven Mine. Head east through a door and search the chest. Your bowl, silk, and other items will disappear. The chest contains the second map piece. Head west and go back up the ladder.
- 5Head south towards Falador, then continue south to Melzar's maze. Use the key Oziach gave you on the door south of the Crafting Guild on the east side.
- 6Kill the right rat to get the red key. Use the red key on the northwest door. Inside the L-shaped room, go up the ladder.
- 7Attack level 25 ghosts until you get the orange key. Use the key on the second door from the north on the east side.
- 8Go up the ladder and attack level 31 skeletons until you get the yellow key. Go through the most southwest door with the key. Go down three ladders.
- 9You will be by level 32 zombies. Attack them to get the blue key and go through the most northwest door. Attack Melzar the Mad (level 45) to get the Magenta key. Go through the north door.
- 10Kill the level 79 lesser demon inside and collect the black key. Go through the north door and search the chest for the next map piece. Go up the ladder in that room, out the door, use your maze key on the east door again, and go outside.
- 11Go to your Falador bank. Take out magic spells or a bow and 10-20 arrows. Bring one air rune and one law rune, and ensure you have level 33 Magic or higher. Head south to the Port Sarim Jail and attack Wormbrain Goblin (level 7) with magic or a bow and arrow, as he is behind bars. He drops the third map piece; use telekinetic grab to collect it.
- 12Combine the three map pieces by using one on another.
- 13Head towards Edgeville, then north into the wilderness until level 17. Find the graveyard on the eastern part of the wilderness and collect 3 planks. Head south to Varrock, go to the anvils, and make 6 steel bars into 12 nails (requires minimum level 34 Smithing). Head to Lumbridge.
- 14Inside Lumbridge, go up the ladder on the south side. Talk to Duke of Lumbridge and ask for the Dragon-breath shield.
- 15Head to Draynor Village. Go inside the bank and get a hammer, 2000 coins, your 3 planks, and 12 nails. Go to Port Sarim and talk to Klarense. Buy Lady Lumbridge for 2000 coins. Go inside the boat and use your planks on the holes to fix it.
- 16Go back to Draynor Village and talk to Ned the ol' Captain. Tell him you need him to sail you to Crandor. He will agree. Head to Port Sarim to your boat. Ensure you have good armor, lots of good food (Lobster or above), the Dragon-breath shield, and possibly some potions. Fill your inventory with food. Magic or prayer is not recommended when attacking the level 110 dragon.
- 17Sail to Crandor. Go north, then west inside a little cliff, then north again. Wind around the island to the top and go down some stairs. Run past level 25 skeletons, then level 56 skeletons.
- 18Warning: Drink your potions. Once you go through the next door, there is almost no going back. Try to attack the dragon first. Ensure you are wielding all your armor (especially the dragon-shield) and weapons. When you reach half health, retreat and eat food, then attack again. After killing the dragon, you will be outside the door and rewarded. Head south, opposite from where you came.
- 19Head past level 79 lesser demons. Keep heading south until you run into a wall. Push against this wall to reach level 36 red spiders. Head west past some skeletons and go up a ladder.
Tips
- To speed up your return after dying to the dragon, you can open one of the two doors leading to the volcano 'dungeon' in Karamja before fighting it. This will allow you to respawn (respawn) closer if you die, though you still need to buy the boat and have Ned sail you the first time.
- Bring plenty of food for the journey to and fight against the dragon.
