Walkthrough

    Speak to Dimintheis in the house southeast of the East bank in Varrock about the family crest.

    First Son (Catherby): Go to the house north of the Catherby bank. Give him cooked Shrimp, Salmon, Tuna, Bass, and Swordfish. He will then mention the second brother in Al Kharid.

    Second Son (Al Kharid): Talk to the Gem Trader in Al Kharid. He will direct you to a Nobleman near the gold rock in the Chasm mine. Give the Nobleman a ruby ring and a ruby necklace made from the finest gold.

    To find the finest gold, speak to Boot in the Dwarven Mine (north of Falador, down a ladder in a house on the ice mountain). You will need a pickaxe, good armor, a good weapon, and probably some food to fight a level 114 monster.

    The finest gold is in a dungeon east of Ardougne. Go to East Ardougne, head east, and go down a ladder surrounded by archways.

    Navigate the dungeon by pulling levers to activate the door to the gold:
    • North wall: pull lever down.

    Obtain two rubies, a ring mould, a necklace mould, and use the two gold bars on a furnace to craft a ruby ring and a ruby necklace.

    Return to the Nobleman in Al Kharid with the ruby ring and ruby necklace. He will give you his crest piece and tell you about his younger brother.

    Third Son (Jolly Boar Inn): You will need a cure poison potion (bring two), good armor, a good weapon, runes for all four blast spells, and either level 59 Magic or a Wizard's Mind Bomb (costs 2 coins in Falador Bar, temporarily boosts Magic by 3 levels).

    Go to the Jolly Boar Inn (northeast of Varrock). On the second floor, find and talk to the wizard.

    Give him a cure poison potion. He will tell you about Chronozon (level 121) who has his crest piece and that you must cast all blast spells on him to defeat him.

    Go to Edgeville and enter the dungeon. Find the gate to the 'Wilderness Dungeon' (members' servers only). This gate is protected by aggressive skeletons.

    Navigate the Wilderness Dungeon: pass thugs (level 18) to the west, Chaos Druids (level 19) to the west, and skeletons (level 54) by heading west into a narrow hallway.

    Make your way past Black Demons (level 156) and poison spiders (level 63) by heading west then south.

    You will reach a room with the Earth Obelisk and Chronozon (level 121). Attack Chronozon and cast all four Blast spells on him at least once during the fight. If you do not cast all blast spells, he will regenerate.

    Pick up the crest piece after defeating Chronozon and exit the dungeon.

    Finishing the Quest: Combine the three crest pieces and return to Dimintheis in Varrock.

Enhancing the Gauntlets:

After completing the quest, you can have your gauntlets enhanced once by speaking to any of the three sons.
