Guide yourself through the Troubled Village in Titan Quest 2. Learn how to complete quests, defeat the Satyr Shaman, and gather valuable loot and gold.

Alright, so you've just landed in Greece, and your first stop is this little place called the Troubled Village. Don't let the name scare you; it's more of a starting point than anything. You'll be doing a bit of questing here, helping out some folks, and getting a feel for the game.

Walkthrough
  1. 1

You'll start by walking up a path and meeting a guy named Timaeus. He's got a problem: monsters are attacking his horse in a nearby field. Head into the field, and you'll find two satyrs and a boar going after a black horse. Don't worry too much about the horse; it seems pretty tough, but your main job is to take down those monsters. Once they're dealt with, head back to Timaeus to complete the quest. He'll mention that the village ahead needs help too.

  2. 2

Continue up the path towards the village. You might see some soldiers fighting satyrs, or maybe they've already finished them off. If the fight's still going, jump in and help out!

  3. 3

Enter the village, which is called Helos. The first thing you should do is find and activate the rebirth fountain. This is your checkpoint, so make sure it's on! After that, take some time to chat with the villagers. You'll meet the village leader, Diomedes, who will give you your next main quest: dealing with a 'satyr shaman'. Also, keep an eye out for a merchant located east of Diomedes; you can sell him your unwanted gear and buy new equipment here. Just southeast of the village, you'll find your first portal. You can't go anywhere with it yet, but it's good to know where it is. The path out of the village is blocked until you defeat the Satyr Shaman.

  4. 4

To find the shaman, head north of the village, cross a bridge, and enter a field area known as Helos farmland. Here, you'll need to clear out all the beasts and satyrs. While you're at it, open any chests you find scattered around for some nice loot. Equip the best items you get, and consider heading back to the village merchant to sell off the rest for gold. If you've got enough, maybe pick up some better gear. Keep pushing north towards the enemy camp. You'll likely level up during this excursion, so make sure to spend your skill points before you head into the camp.

  5. 5

The Satyr Shaman, also called the Dark Satyr, is hard to miss. It's a large satyr that hurls fireballs. The fight itself isn't too bad; just focus on taking down the shaman while dodging its attacks and clearing out any minions that get in your way. After you defeat the shaman, there's a chest nearby, so open it up for more goodies. Once you've grabbed everything, return to Helos and report back to Diomedes.

  • Normal: 1000 Gold and 150 XP
  • Epic: 50000 gold and 30000XP
  • Legendary: 650000 gold and 30000XP
Tips
  • After getting your reward, it's a good idea to trade your excess loot for gold and maybe buy some better equipment before you move on to your next quest, which involves finding General Leonidas.
  • Don't forget to activate the rebirth fountain in Helos as soon as you enter the village. It's your lifeline if things go south!
  • Keep an eye on your horse when Timaeus gives you the first quest. While it seems durable, it's always good practice to protect friendly NPCs.
  • The Satyr Shaman can throw fireballs, so keep moving to avoid taking too much damage. Focus on the shaman once the smaller enemies are cleared.
