Alright, so you're looking to get your hands on some Herbs in Atomfall, huh? Smart move! These little purple flowers are super handy for crafting all sorts of useful stuff, from healing potions to resistance boosters. Don't worry, they're not too hard to find once you know what you're looking for.

Where to Find Herbs:

Herbs are those clusters of purple flowers you'll see scattered around. You can find them pretty much everywhere in the game, which is great news. While they do pop up in the final underground areas, you'll have the easiest time grabbing them in a few key spots:

• Wyndham Village: Hang around the military checkpoint leading to Skethermoor – you'll usually spot 3-4 herbs there. Just exploring the village itself is good too, as some are in pots near houses. Plus, they grow on the hill right by the entrance to Casterfell Woods.
• Slatten Dale: Your best bet here is to look near water, like streams and lakes. Head south from Wyndham Village, and you'll find some by a stream. Watch out for Outlaws, but you can usually just back away to avoid a fight.
• Casterfell Woods: It's a bit trickier to spot them here, but keep an eye out near water bodies. We also found some growing by the fences close to the Wyndham Village entrance.
• Skethermoor: Keep an eye out around the hills near Skethermoor Prison, the Ruined Hamlet, and especially in the marshes where there's water.

What Herbs Are Used For:

These aren't just for show! Herbs are your main ingredient for crafting consumables. The most notable is the Strange Tonic, which you can find the recipe for near Mother Jago’s Herbalism book in the castle southwest of Casterfell Woods. This tonic is a lifesaver in places like the Interchange because it helps fight off the nasty Infection status effect.

But that's not all! Herbs are also used to craft the Antidote (for Poison resistance), Combat Stim (for a melee damage boost), and Painkillers (for general damage resistance). Since these items take up valuable inventory space, it's a good idea to stock up on herbs before heading into dangerous zones like Skethermoor Prison.
