Follow this guide to restore power to Oberon in Atomfall. Learn how to find Atomic Batteries, the Signal Redirector, and power up the Data Stores and Central Processing Unit.
Alright, let's get Oberon powered up! This is a big step towards the end of Atomfall, so make sure you're ready. We've got a few key things to sort out first: finding all four entrances to the Interchange, collecting five Atomic Batteries, and grabbing the Signal Redirector.
Restoring the Data Stores
First up, you need to get power to the four Data Stores: Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, and Delta. You'll need to find each of their entrances, which should be pretty straightforward on your map. The real task is gathering those five Atomic Batteries. Here’s where you can snag them:
- One is conveniently located at the Central Processing Unit itself – a freebie!
- You can buy one from Trader Molly in Slatten Dale at 26.3E, 79.0N.
- Nora in Skethermoor also sells one.
- While you're at Nora's, check the back of a robot in the pond northwest of her location.
- You can also get batteries by disabling robots. Shoot them in the back until they drop, then extract the battery. You'll find plenty of these around Skethermoor.
Once you have your batteries, head to each Data Store and pop one into the console. Most are easy, but Data Store Alpha has a nasty surprise: Infection Spores! If you have Infection Resistance, now's the time to use it.
Getting the Signal Redirector
This can be a bit of a trek. The fastest way is to get on Simms's good side in Wyndham Village's Town Hall. Just tell him about the church murder, and he'll give you access to Skethermoor prison where Dr. Garrows is held. Head to the prison ( Map Marker), go to the lowest level, and find the Security room. The redirector is sitting on a shelf in there.
Powering up the Central Processing Unit
With all five Data Stores humming, it's time to reroute that power to the Central Processing Unit. You absolutely need the Signal Redirector for this, so don't even think about proceeding without it. You'll notice the redirector indicator flashing when you get back to the CPU, meaning it's time to work. Usually, you'd look up for junction boxes, but this time, they're on the ground, right under the floor. You'll find one near each door. Flip them, and bam! Power is rerouted to the CPU, and the way to Oberon opens up.
Heads Up! This is your last chance to make a hard save before the end of the game. If you're not feeling strong enough, low on resources, or want to try for a different ending, now's the time to back out and prepare.
