Important Notes:

  • You must complete all prerequisites for an assignment before you can earn progress towards its criteria. For example, even if you have 500 kills with assault rifles, you will still need to get another ten kills for the first assignment after achieving the class Service Star 2.
  • Operator Service Stars are obtained by earning XP with the Operator class.
  • XP boosts from Battlepacks can significantly speed up XP gain; keep one equipped and replace it if it expires. Gearhead and Reputation boosts are recommended for grinding tier 4 reputation.
  • Double XP events are very helpful. Maximize your score through objective play, kills, gadget use, and following squad orders.
  • Assault rifle kills and heals are relatively easy to obtain.
  • Revives can be harder to get because a player cannot be revived if killed by a headshot (a shot that lands on the enemy's head, usually an instant kill), explosion, roadkill, melee takedown, or gas. Sticking close to teammates and playing TDM on The Block can help farm Revive Coins.

Reputation System:

  • Reputation is Battlefield Hardline's perk system. You activate up to four tiers of reputation by earning XP within a single match.
  • Perks can be checked or pre-selected in the reputation option at the bottom of the loadout screen.
  • Your progress during a match is shown at the bottom-right of the HUD (below your health and ammo). The horizontal bar must be filled in a single life to earn the next rep tier.
  • Perks persist after death, but the progress bar resets, requiring you to start from zero in your next life.
  • The easiest way to earn XP towards reputation perks is by driving or riding in a captured vehicle in Hotwire mode.
  • Use the Server Browser to find a Hotwire match with a small number of players (at least three) and ideally, players focused on farming points in cars rather than setting traps.
Tips
  • Focus on objective play to maximize XP gain for Service Stars.
  • Utilize your class gadgets effectively, especially the First Aid Pack for heals.
  • Be patient and stick with your squad to increase revive opportunities.
  • Consider playing TDM on The Block for easier Revive Coin farming.
  • Actively seek out Hotwire matches with fewer players to efficiently farm Reputation XP.
