The Professional class in Battlefield Hardline utilizes machine-pistols and compact SMGs as sidearms, complementing slower sniper rifle primaries. These weapons, like the G18 and 93R, are derived from semi-automatic pistol designs and are ideal for short-range engagements due to their full-auto or burst fire capabilities. Switching to your secondary weapon is recommended for indoor or confined spaces unless you are an expert quick-scoper.

The machine-pistols in the game have the following damage profiles:

Patched: In the Robbery update on 16 September 2015, the MAC10's max damage was increased from 23 to 24 and its min damage decreased from 14.5 to 12.

Additionally, you can equip the FN57, G17 Race Pistol or Dual vz.61 (see Section 08b), the non-lethal T62 CEW taser or the tracking dart pistol.

G18C

Unlocks: Available at start (both factions)

Summary: The G18C fires on full auto at 900 RPM, resulting in a close-quarters Time to Kill (TTK) of just over a quarter of a second. Its other stats make it ineffective beyond very short ranges, featuring heavy recoil (vertical and horizontal), poor aimed accuracy, and high spread increase per shot. While you might only get one kill per magazine, it has rapid reload times similar to the semi-auto G17. The G18C comes equipped with a laser sight.

Trivia: The G18C is an automatic variant of the G17 design, created for an Austrian special forces unit. Due to its rapid ammunition consumption, it's typically used with a 33-round magazine but can accept standard Glock pistol magazines. The G18C has barrel slots and a slide cut-out to reduce vertical recoil, similar to the G17C model. Other 9mm Glock models include the semi-automatic G19 (compact), G26 (subcompact), and G34 (competition variant). Various other models are available in different calibers.

93R

Summary: The 93R shares the same damage profile and nominal rate of fire as the G18C but is more controllable. It fires in three-round bursts with significantly lower recoil (vertical and horizontal) and half the SIPS (Spread Increase Per Shot). It also boasts larger magazines (20+1 capacity is sufficient for seven bursts) and the fastest reload time in the game.

Trivia: The Beretta 93R, launched in 1979, is based on the Beretta 92 design. The 'R' stands for 'raffica' (burst in Italian). Features incorporated for burst fire include an extended magazine, folding foregrip, recoil compensator, and an optional folding buttstock.
