Master the Galil ARM and FAMAS in Battlefield Hardline. Learn about their stats, attachments, and how they were patched. Plus, tips for Hotwire mode and Syndicate progression.
Walkthrough
- 1Galil ARM: This weapon features a 50-round magazine and a fast recoil recovery, making it easy to control despite a slower fire rate. It was patched in the Criminal Activity update (June 16, 2015) to have the same damage profile as the M16 and M416. Its accuracy is slightly lower when aiming but superior when hip-firing or moving. Reserve ammo is limited to two reloads upon spawning.
- 2FAMAS: Added with the Robbery DLC, this weapon fires at 850 RPM with a lower damage profile, resulting in a four-hit kill up to 25 meters. It has a bullpup configuration, offering bonuses to hipfire and moving spread but penalties to aimed accuracy and reload times. Key negatives include heavy recoil, a smaller 25-round magazine, and a significantly larger spread increase per shot. It was patched in the Getaway update to improve ADS moving spread.
Tips
- Save large Reputation (brown) and Gearhead (yellow) boosts for when you've met all syndicate requirements, as they increase cruising bonus points in Hotwire. Use Gearhead boosts first as they are less useful in other modes.
- If your team has a hacker, they can activate rep tiers for your squad using the Squad Upgrade function. Message your team's hacker or ask a friend for assistance.
- When playing as Operator in Hotwire, equip Passenger First Aid (Robbery DLC required) to heal passengers while driving for extra points.
Trivia:
- The Galil ARM is a variant of the 1972 Galil assault rifle, produced by IMI (now IWI). It's historically associated with LMG roles, though the game version lacks a bipod and carrying handle. It was featured in the movie Heat.
- The FAMAS, designed by MAS in France, was nicknamed "Le Clarion" (The Bugle) due to its carrying handle. The Hardline version resembles the FELIN project model with a raised scope rail.
