Learn about Battlefield Hardline's Nail Gun bullet drop, Double-Barrel Shotgun locations in the Getaway DLC, and M1A1 on Alcatraz.

Nail Gun Trivia: The Nail Gun in Battlefield Hardline is based on the Hilti DX460, a self-contained powder-actuated fastening tool. It uses 6.8mm explosive cartridges and can attach a magazine for strips of nails. The tool has adjustable power and a safety feature requiring firm pressure against a surface. Earning 100 kills with the Nail Gun unlocks the "Nailed It!" trophy.

Nail Gun Bullet Drop: The Nail Gun experiences a significant bullet drop, approximately 40cm (16") at 15 metres and 70cm (28") at 20 metres. This makes it best suited for short-range encounters where rapid hipfire shots are viable up to 10-15 metres. At longer ranges, you must aim high to compensate for the drop.

Double-Barrel Shotgun (DBS) Unlocks: The Double-Barrel Shotgun is available as an unmarked Battle Pickup on the Pacific Highway map in the Getaway (DLC (downloadable content — extra missions or items released after launch)) and the Alcatraz map in the Betrayal (DLC).

• On Pacific Highway, find it upstairs in the large hunting lodge, northwest of the central rocky peak, next to the fireplace. This location is the cops' base in Capture the Bag mode or the largest building at Log Cabins ("A" flag) in Conquest Large.
• On the Alcatraz map, it's in a museum display case in Cell Block A on "Sunset Strip" by the northeast exterior wall.

M1A1 Unlocks: The M1A1 Thompson SMG (with a 50-round drum magazine and foregrip) is available as an unmarked Battle Pickup on the Alcatraz map in the Betrayal (DLC). It can be found in a museum display case in Cell Block C on "Michigan Avenue" by the southwest exterior wall.

M1A1 Trivia: Alcatraz prison records from 1948 indicate the presence of eight Thompson submachineguns (1928 model) with various magazines.

Attachments in Battlefield Hardline: Attachments are unlocked by achieving a certain number of kills with a weapon, after which they can be purchased with cash (XP). The number of kills required depends on the number of attachment slots a weapon has:

• Guns with four attachment slots (e.g., carbines, battle rifles): 20 kills for optics, 50 for accessories, 70 for muzzle attachments, and 90 for grips.
• Guns with three attachment slots (e.g., most SMGs, shotguns): 30 kills for optics, 60 for accessories, and 90 for muzzles.

Unavailable Attachments: Several attachments from previous games are not available in Battlefield Hardline, including the bipod, frag and dart ammo for shotguns, the three-dot laser, the laser/light combo, the 2x magnifier, the duckbill choke, the underbarrel grenade-launcher rail, and variable zoom/range finder options for sniper rifles.

Battlepack Vouchers: Battlepacks can be earned by achieving Service Stars with each weapon.
