Part 19

Unlock and master the RPK, SAR21, and AUG A3 assault rifles in Battlefield Hardline. Learn their stats, unlock requirements, and combat effectiveness.

RPK

• Stats: Fire-rate: 600 RPM, Reload: 2.20 secs. Technically an LMG with a 50-round drum magazine. Shares the AKM's slow fire-rate and heavy damage, but has faster reloads, more vertical recoil, a smaller first-shot recoil multiplier, and slightly less aimed accuracy.
• Unlocks: $36,000 (criminals) / 1,250 kills and buy license (cops). Robbery DLC required.
• Notes: Comes without attachments. A buttstock can be unlocked at 50 kills or via voucher. Potent in an anti-air role with AP Tracer ammo (requires 50 kills to unlock AP rounds).
• Trivia: Developed alongside the AKM in the late 50's, derived from the AK47. The 50-round drum in Hardline is not authentic to the original RPK's magazine options. Also featured in BF4.

SAR21

• Stats: Ammo: 5.56x45mm, Capacity: 30+1, Fire-rate: 650 RPM, Reload: 2.60 secs. Added in Getaway DLC update, but expansion not required. In Hardline, it has high vertical and horizontal recoil, and a very large spread increase per shot (SIPS), making it inaccurate at medium range.
• Unlocks: $50,000 (both factions).
• Notes: Comes without attachments. Less effective than the ARM due to higher recoil, worse SIPS, and lower magazine capacity.
• Trivia: "Singapore Assault Rifle* - 21st Century". Features an integral laser sight (unlockable) and a built-in 1.5x scope. The asterisk in Hardline stands for "Substandard Accuracy and Recoil".

AUG A3

• Stats: Ammo: 5.56x45mm, Capacity: 30+1, Fire-rate: 700 RPM, Reload: 2.50 secs. Added in Betrayal DLC update, but expansion not required. Has heavy recoil for its fire-rate. Good ADS spread while moving and superior hipfire accuracy due to bullpup design. Reload time is shorter than L85 and FAMAS.
• Unlocks: $48,000 (both factions).
• Notes: Comes without attachments. PC and console stats may differ post-March 1, 2016 patch.
• Trivia: Designed in the 70's, "army universal rifle". Modular design allows for various configurations. Adopted by the Austrian army in 1977.
