The Howling Aces — Cuphead Walkthrough

Master Cuphead's Howling Aces plane boss with strategies against the Chinook Pilot, Jetpack Pups, and giant aircraft. Utilize rapid-fire and bombs.

Objective: Defeat The Howling Aces and collect their ingredient. (Note: This boss is part of The Delicious Last Course DLC).

Strategy: The Howling Aces fight takes place entirely in your plane across three distinct stages of aerial combat.

1. Phase 1 (The Chinook Pilot): Dodge the Pilot's heat-seeking yarn balls and the puppies' flying tattoos. Transition to your secondary Bomb attack when the Pilot is positioned directly below you to maximize damage.
2. Phase 2 (The Puppy Brigade): Four Jetpack Pups circle your plane. Use your primary rapid-fire gun to pick them off one by one while keeping an eye on the letters they bark out; these projectiles can be parried for Super meter.
3. Phase 3 (The Mortimer): The giant aircraft itself attacks. You must tilt your plane to avoid the laser beams coming from the paws. When the screen rotates, stay centered to avoid falling into the laser paths.

Recommended Plane Attacks: Rapid-fire Shot (Primary), Bomb (Secondary/Lobbed). Recommended Charm: Astral Cookie (allows Ms. Chalice to use her unique plane abilities) or Heart Ring (for health recovery on parries).
