Coast Guardian

To start the Coast Guardian quest in dead island 2, head to Venice Beach. The quest will appear on your map near the gym by the ocean. It is recommended to also pick up the Cold Pork side quest from Trent at the Blue Crab at this time.

Go to the lifeguard shack located south of the police station. You will find it surrounded by zombies.

Wipe out the zombies surrounding the lifeguard shack to speak with Burt.

After speaking with Burt, head north to the police station parking lot. Be cautious, as there are four Bursters present. Use a curveball to trigger a chain reaction and eliminate them simultaneously.

The Bursters will trigger an alarm on a police car, attracting more zombies. Defeat these zombies.

Report back to Burt that no survivors were found at the station. He will then direct you further north to a shuttered store called Venice Chicken.

Clear out the zombies in front of Venice Chicken.

Press the button next to the shutter to open the store. A Slobber will be waiting inside. The store's alarm will sound, drawing another horde of zombies.

Defeat the Slobber and the additional zombies. You can use a gun to easily take down the Slobber.

After clearing the area, enter the store. Use a curveball to detonate the exploding masses of flesh.

Loot the red chest inside Venice Chicken to obtain the Crescent Blades weapon.

Return to the lifeguard station. Burt will be surrounded by zombies, including a Crusher, a Screamer, and a Butcher.

Defeat the special zombies and then clear out the remaining Walkers and Runners.

Enter the lifeguard station and speak with Burt again to complete the Coast Guardian quest.
