Alright, so you're looking for the Fancy Leather Trunk Keys in Dead Island 2, right? The most important thing to know is that you can't even get this key until you've finished the 'Search for the Truth' main story mission. Why? Because the nasty creature you need to defeat, a Mutator, only starts showing up after you've encountered your first one in the main questline. So, focus on that first!

Once that mission is done, you'll want to head back to the Hotel Halperin. Your goal is the top floor. The absolute easiest way to get up there is by doing the elevator shaft parkour. If the electricity is on, you might want to take care of the power box in the fast travel room first. This will make climbing the elevators from that fast travel point much smoother.

Once you finally reach the top floor, keep your eyes peeled for a Mutator. These guys can roam around pretty much any of the bedrooms or corridors, so don't be afraid to make a little noise. Toss a few explosive curveballs or fire off a few shots from your gun – anything to draw it out. Eventually, the Mutated Guest will show up.

When it does, take it down! Your Fury mode, ranged weapons, and whatever your character's preferred methods are will work best here. After you've successfully defeated the Mutator, you'll be able to grab the Fancy Leather Trunk Keys right from its corpse. Now, make your way back to the elevator on the top floor. You'll find the leather trunk waiting for you directly opposite the elevator doors. Open it up to snag the Tenacious weapon perk, and head into your next fight feeling a bit tougher!
