Dead Island 2: Dez and the Mother of Satan Walkthrough

This quest, 'Dez and the Mother of Satan,' becomes available after you've finished 'Boz Makes a Bang.' Keep an ear out for Hana over the radio; she'll call you to find Dez, who's headed to the CDC Camp on The Pier. You can pick up this call from any radio, so don't worry if you miss it the first time!

Walkthrough

Head to the CDC Camp: When you arrive at the CDC Camp on The Pier, you'll find Dez waiting for you on the Dome Balcony. But before you can chat, you'll have to deal with a bunch of zombies. Watch out for the Hazmat Zombies and Riot Gear Zombies – they can be a bit tougher, but you should be able to handle the crowd. Using explosives here is a great way to clear out groups quickly!

Help Dez Test Her Launcher: After you've cleared out the initial zombie wave, talk to Dez. She wants to test out her new grenade launcher and will ask for your help. While she's raining down explosives from the balcony, you'll need to take care of any zombies that manage to get close. Using a gun to pick off the stragglers before they reach you is a good strategy here. Just have fun with the explosions and mop up the remaining enemies with Dez!

Find the Quartermaster's Records: Dez's next task for you is to find the 'Mother of Satan,' which is basically a super-explosive chemical she wants to weaponize. First, head into the tent on your left. Follow the tented corridor until you see a puddle of electricity on the floor. Go outside, find the generator, and turn it off by removing the battery. Now you can go back inside and safely grab the Quartermaster's Records from the desk that was previously blocked by the electrical hazard.

Return to Dez and Fight Subject: Juliet: Take the records back to the main CDC dome to find Dez. As soon as you arrive, you'll be thrown into another fight! This time, you'll face Subject: Juliet, who is a Voltaic Screamer. Her scream is dangerous, so try to keep your distance and use guns and curveballs. There will be other zombies around too, so use area-of-effect (AoE) damage to deal with them efficiently. Since you've likely fought Voltaic Screamers before, this fight shouldn't be too challenging.

Quest Complete: Once you've defeated Subject: Juliet and any other zombies, head back up to the balcony to speak with Dez. This will complete the quest!
