Invasion of the Rursus

When you first face the Rursan Arbiter, don't try to fight it. You're meant to lose this initial encounter. Just wait until all your characters are defeated, which will trigger a cutscene.

After the cutscene, your characters will be revived with Haste and Invincibility buffs. You'll also get help from Machina and Rem. Now, focus on getting a Breaksight on the Rursus Arbiter (indicated by a golden aura around its head) and harvesting its Phantoma. Repeat this process for all characters to progress the story.

With the second chance, you'll be controlling one character at a time. You can't die in this phase, but you still need to wait for Breaksight opportunities to complete the battle.

The Rursan Arbiter has three main attacks:

• Overhead Smash: It swings its weapon straight down. Dodge to either side to avoid it, and a Breaksight will appear.

Sweeping Grab: It brings its arm in a wide, sweeping motion to try and grab you. Stay on the outer edge of its reach to dodge this; it doesn't provide a Breaksight opportunity.

Lightning Bolts: It summons bolts of lightning. The Breaksight chance appears right before it begins this attack.

After harvesting a Phantoma, your current character will fall, and you'll switch to another. Keep repeating the process of exploiting Breaksights and harvesting Phantoma.

As you continue, the boss will get weaker and use fewer attacks, making Breaksights easier to find. Eventually, you'll reach your last character. Keep hitting the Breaksights until a Killsight appears. Harvest the final Phantoma to defeat the boss and complete the game.
