Thwarting the Royal Ambush

Area 1: Mi-Go Quay

You'll start by facing a large enemy called Josai, an Adamantoise. Its main threat is the 'Regen' buff, which constantly heals it. You'll need to fight it until Moglin tells you to find the dragon unit controlling it. Be aware of Josai's attacks: it shoots slow-moving bubbles, can smack you with its fins if you get too close, and can slam down, inflicting 'Stop' if it hits you.

While it's possible to defeat Josai outright with high magic, defense, and MP, it's more efficient to wait for Moglin's cue. Once he tells you to find the controller, simply move around the water's edge. This will transport you to the next area.

Area 2: Bluff

Upon arriving, you'll immediately encounter a Demonicorn and two Vilifeyes. Defeat them. After that, two more Demonicorns will appear alongside an enemy commander, a Wingvern. Your objective here is to defeat the Wingvern to proceed.

Area 3: Mi-Go Coastline

In this area, you'll face another Wingvern, along with some Agave Syrup monsters (lightning flans). After defeating the Wingvern, some Dracoknights will also appear. Be mindful that the Agave Syrups can respawn infinitely, so focus on the main objective.

Area 4: Bluff Shade

The final area pits you against another Wingvern (the enemy commander) accompanied by several Dracoknights. You'll also find some Agave Syrups here, which can make for a challenging combination with their pop-up attacks. Defeating the commander in this area will successfully conclude the mission.
