Follow our comprehensive guide to unlock and conquer The Dead Ends dungeon in Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker, detailing every objective, boss, and treasure coffer.
Walkthrough
- 1Meet the sixth end: Start the dungeon by running north. Collect the first pack of Warped Flesh, then proceed north to the second pack. Engage them, focusing on healing the tank as their health will drop significantly. Once defeated, the gate will open. Continue north into the Grebuloff Pillars. Follow the stairs west to find another pack of Warped Flesh. Lure them to the next pack and defeat them together. The northern gate will then open.
- 2Leave the sixth end behind: Defeat the first boss, Caustic Grebuloff. You will receive a Treasure Coffer upon victory.
- 3Meet the eighth end: Head through the gate and follow the path north. Navigate around the AoE attacks from a large mech and grab the first pack of Landed/Airborne Freedom Fighters. Proceed towards the mech; a Treasure Coffer is located to your left just before it. The mech will not be fought directly, but another pack will spawn. Defeat them and continue north. The mech will fire missiles again; navigate towards the first pack of Landed/Airborne Freedom Fighters. After grabbing them, take them west to the second pack and defeat them all. A path will open to the north.
- 4Leave the eighth end behind: Defeat the second boss, Peacekeeper. You will receive a Treasure Coffer upon victory.
- 5Meet the seventeenth end: Enter a new area, The Plenty. Head north and approach the majestic creature, which will flee. Cross the bridge and engage the first pack of Xenoprotist/Golden Wings. After defeating them, collect the Treasure Coffer by the gate before heading north. Cross the next bridge to find the second pack, consisting of Golden Wings and a Xenofauna. Once all packs are defeated, the gate will open. Enter the next room where the creature reappears and flees again. You will face a pack of Xenoprotists/Xenoflora/Golden Wings. Take them northwest over the bridge to the next pack. This is a challenging pull, so ensure the tank uses defensive cooldowns and the healer maintains high HP. After defeating them, collect the Treasure Coffer by the northwest gate and proceed north over the bridge to face the final boss.
- 6Leave the seventeenth end behind: Defeat the final boss, The Last Mercy - Ra-La. The dungeon is complete after this battle, and you will receive a final Treasure Coffer before the exit.
Tips
- When fighting large pulls of enemies, especially in the Grebuloff Pillars and The Plenty, ensure the tank is using defensive cooldowns and the healer is actively keeping their HP topped up.
- Some pulls, like the Xenoprotist/Golden Wings pack in The Plenty, can be tough. Consider fighting one pack at a time if you are struggling, or luring multiple packs together if you are confident.
- Treasure Coffers are awarded after defeating each boss and at specific points within the dungeon.
