RA-LA Boss (The Dead Ends)

Master the RA-LA boss fight in Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker's The Dead Ends dungeon. Learn mechanics like Pity, Warm Glow, Prance, Lifesbreath, Benevolence, Loving Embrace, and Still Embrace.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• RA-LA is the boss of The Dead Ends dungeon.

Phases:

1. Pity: A tankbuster attack. Tanks should use defensive cooldowns.
2. Warm Glow: A room-wide AoE dealing approximately 50% HP damage. Healers can use AoE shields or regen abilities like Medica II.
3. Prance: Ra-La jumps around the arena four times, dropping large golden AoE circles that detonate in order. Stand on the last circle that appeared, and move to the position of the first circle after it detonates.
4. Lifesbreath: Ra-La moves to the edge and charges a line AoE. After the AoE, butterflies appear in the same line. These butterflies will indicate the direction of subsequent attacks. If hit, players receive a Doom debuff that must be cleansed by Esuna. To avoid, stand next to a butterfly with its arrow pointing away from you.
5. Benevolence: A party stack marker attack. All players must stack together to share the damage.
6. Loving Embrace: Ra-La raises a wing with a white/blue glow and cleaves the entire side of the arena where the wing is. Stand on the opposite side of the glowing wing to avoid.
7. Still Embrace: A party spread marker attack. Players must move away from each other to avoid overlapping damage.

Strategy:

• The Prance attack requires players to stand on the last spawned circle and move to the first circle's position after it explodes.
• For Lifesbreath, position yourself next to a butterfly with the arrow pointing away from you to avoid the Doom debuff.
• During Loving Embrace, identify the glowing wing and stand on the opposite side of the arena.
• Other attacks like Pity, Warm Glow, Benevolence, and Still Embrace are standard boss mechanics (tankbuster, raid-wide AoE, stack, and spread respectively) and should be manageable with proper execution.
