Alright, let's get this 'Skies Aflame' quest done! It's part of the main story in Endwalker, and it's going to lead us into a new dungeon. Don't worry, I'll walk you through it.

Walkthrough

First things first, you need to head to Old Sharlayan. The quest giver, Tataru, is waiting for you in the Archons' Design area, specifically at coordinates x:9.2, y:11.4. If you've just finished up somewhere else, the nearest Aetheryte is the Old Sharlayan Aetheryte Plaza. Just chat with Tataru to get started.

After you speak with Tataru, the objective will be to head to the main hall. You'll meet up with pretty much the whole crew here – Estinien, G’raha Tia, Y’shtola, Krile, Alisaie, Alphinaud, Thancred, and Tataru herself. It's a bit of a reunion before the next big step.

Once you've had your chat, it's time to travel to Thavnair. You won't be able to teleport directly to The Great Work for this part. Instead, you'll trigger a cutscene that moves the story along.

After the cutscene, you'll need to find and speak with an NPC named Ahewann. He's the key to unlocking the next part of your journey.

Speaking with Ahewann is a pretty big deal because it unlocks a brand new dungeon for you: **Vanaspati**, which is a Level 85 dungeon. Make a note of that!

Now, you'll need to enter Vanaspati. You can do this either through the Duty Finder or by using the Trust system if you prefer to go in with NPCs. We've got a separate, detailed guide for Vanaspati if you want to check that out, but for this quest, just clearing it is the goal.

Once you've successfully cleared the Vanaspati dungeon, head back and speak with Ahewann again. He'll be waiting to hear about your success and will wrap up this quest for you.

Completing this quest will net you a good chunk of experience points (481,800 EXP) and 3,000 Gil. You'll also get some cosmetic items: 2 Honey Yellow Dye, 2 Millioncorn Yellow Dye, and 2 Raisin Brown Dye. Nice!

Unlocks:

This quest is important because it unlocks the next main scenario quest, 'The Blasphemy Unmasked' (Level 85), and also makes the Vanaspati dungeon officially available.
