Svarbhanu Boss (Vanaspati)

Master the Svarbhanu boss fight in Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker's Vanaspati dungeon. Learn mechanics like Aetherial Disruption, Crumbling Sky, and Flames of Decay.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Arena Edge: Out of bounds, stepping on it applies a bleeding debuff and light damage.
• Flames of Decay: Group-wide attack. Heal/shield to mitigate.
• Aetherial Disruption: Arena splits into blue and red rows. A color overlay indicates unsafe zones; move to the opposite color. Subsequent uses layer other mechanics.
• Crumbling Sky (Variation 1): Circle markers on all party members during Aetherial Disruption. Spread out and stand on the correct color.
• Crumbling Sky (Variation 2): Knockback marker in the center during Aetherial Disruption. Position to be knocked into the correct color.
• Gnashing of Teeth: Tankbuster. Use shields and defensive cooldowns.
• Crumbling Sky - Meteors: Svarbhanu moves to the edge. Three meteors target rows. Find the gap to avoid line-AoEs. After the first wave, dodge circular AoEs while positioning for meteors. Used in three waves before Svarbhanu returns.

Phases:

1. Opening: Svarbhanu starts with Flames of Decay.
2. Aetherial Disruption 1: First use of Aetherial Disruption.
3. Aetherial Disruption + Crumbling Sky (Variation 1): Aetherial Disruption with circle markers.
4. Aetherial Disruption + Crumbling Sky (Variation 2): Aetherial Disruption with knockback.
5. Crumbling Sky - Meteors: Svarbhanu casts Crumbling Sky, conjures meteors, and uses three waves. Circular AoEs appear after the first wave.
6. Combined Mechanics: Subsequent Aetherial Disruptions will combine both variations of Crumbling Sky.

Strategy:

• Avoid the arena edges, which cause bleed damage.
• Heal/shield through Flames of Decay, especially at the start.
• For Aetherial Disruption, pay attention to the screen overlay (blue triangle or red circle) indicating unsafe zones and move to the opposite colored rows.
• Mitigate Gnashing of Teeth (Tankbuster) with defensive cooldowns.
• During Aetherial Disruption with Crumbling Sky (Variation 1), spread out and stand on the correct color to avoid circle AoEs.
• During Aetherial Disruption with Crumbling Sky (Variation 2), position yourself to be knocked back into the safe zone.
• For Crumbling Sky - Meteors, watch Svarbhanu at the edge of the arena, identify the gap in the meteor pattern, and move to it. Dodge subsequent circular AoEs while positioning for meteors.
• In later phases, Aetherial Disruption will combine both Crumbling Sky variations.
• Tank Svarbhanu in the center of the arena for easier positioning during mechanics.
