Creating the Avatar

Understand that Avatar appearance (height, face, hair, voice) is purely cosmetic and has no gameplay impact. Male Avatars cannot have hair decorations.

Focus on 'Boon' and 'Bane' customizations, which alter your Avatar's stat growth. 'Boon' increases a stat's growth rate, while 'Bane' lowers another.

Refer to the table to match descriptive terms with stat increases (Boon) and decreases (Bane):

• HP: Robust (Boon), Sickly (Bane)

Strength: Strong (Boon), Weak (Bane)

Magic: Clever (Boon), Dull (Bane)

Skill: Deft (Boon), Clumsy (Bane)

Luck: Lucky (Boon), Unlucky (Bane)

Speed: Quick (Boon), Slow (Bane)

Defense: Sturdy (Boon), Fragile (Bane)

Resistance: Calm (Boon), Excitable (Bane)

Consider prioritizing 'Speed' as a Boon, as it critically affects your ability to double-attack enemies (if your Speed is at least five points higher) and avoid being double-attacked (if the enemy's Speed is five points higher).

Avoid making 'HP' or 'Speed' your Bane, as these are generally detrimental to your Avatar's survivability and effectiveness.

A common strategy is to make 'Strength' or 'Magic' your Bane and focus on the other offensive stat. For example, boost Speed and lower Magic, then utilize 'Dragonstone' and 'Yato' (strength-based weapons) instead.

Understand that 'Talent' determines your Avatar's unique Heart Seal class.

Note that your Avatar can access all base classes (except Songstress, Maid/Butler, Wolfskin, Kitsune, Villager) as their Talent, regardless of playing 'Conquest', 'Birthright', or 'Revelations'.

Utilize 'Friendship Seals' to reclass into the class of any ally of the same gender with whom you achieve an A-rank support. This allows access to classes exclusive to other versions of the game. For example, in 'Conquest', reaching A-rank support with Peri or Silas allows you to become a Paladin. In 'Birthright', reaching A-rank support with Hana or Ryoma allows you to become a Swordmaster.
