How to Defeat Ik 'Novus: To Ik Novus

Learn how to defeat the Banished high-value target Ik 'Novus in Halo Infinite. This guide covers his location, weaknesses, and the best strategy to take him down.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Shield: Ik 'Novus possesses a very strong shield that needs to be depleted before you can damage his health effectively.
• Weapon: Carries a modified Skewer, a powerful long-range weapon.

Phases:

1. Phase 1: Clear the Escort
   As you approach Ik 'Novus, you'll find him surrounded by several Banished enemies, including Jackals, Grunts, and Brutes. The Brutes and Jackals are the most immediate threats due to their firepower and shields, respectively. Prioritize taking them out first to reduce incoming damage. Once they're dealt with, finish off any remaining Grunts.
2. Phase 2: Strip the Shield
   With the escorts cleared, focus your attention on Ik 'Novus. His primary defense is his strong shield. Use a Ravager from a safe distance to efficiently strip away his shield.
3. Phase 3: Finish Him Off
   Once his shield is down, switch to a more powerful weapon like the BR75. This will allow you to quickly deal damage to his health and defeat him.

• Location: Ik 'Novus can be found on the island northwest of The Tower during the 'Excavation Site' main mission.
• Initial Engagement: It's best to engage Ik 'Novus and his escorts from a slightly elevated position, like the hill mentioned in the guide, to get a better vantage point and cover.
• Weapon Choice: While the Ravager is excellent for shield stripping, have a reliable weapon like the BR75 ready for when his shields are down.
