- 1Rescuing Charles: Inspect files on the whiteboard to find 'The End (5/8) - Robot Puppets'. Interact with the life support device and then the computer. Read all files on the PC desktop, especially the diagram. Return to the far left and interact with the chain console control panel. Adjust the height of the coloured lamps to match the diagram by pressing the buttons: purple/orange twice, yellow/green once, and blue twice. This will reveal stairs leading down. Enter the Secret Corridor, examine the courier clothes if desired, and proceed left into a secret room. Examine the diary, then head left, inspecting the Beta Type Consciousness Transmission Device for 'The End (6/8) - The Research Information of Consciousness Transmission Device'. Speak with Charles, grab the Crowbar from the far right, and use it on the holding cell door to free Charles. This unlocks the 'The Story of Rescuing the White Mustache' Achievement.
- 2Decision Time: You will be presented with two questions. The first answer has no impact. The second choice determines which of two Achievements you unlock and affects whether you can obtain a new endgame File. To unlock both Achievements, reload an earlier save file.
- Turn it off: Choosing to 'Turn off the equipment' unlocks 'The Liberation' Achievement and the File 'The End (7/8) - The History Between Edward and Luna'. You can then skip to 'The Final Confrontation'.
- 3Keep it on: Choosing to 'Leave the equipment on' unlocks 'The Benevolence' Achievement. You will not be able to unlock the mentioned endgame File. You can then skip to 'The Final Confrontation'.
- 4The Final Confrontation: Regardless of your choice, head back down to the secret room where Charles was rescued. There is no turning back after descending the stairs.
