Rescuing Charles: Inspect the files on the whiteboard to find 'The End (5/8) - Robot Puppets'. Interact with the large life support device and then the computer. Read all files on the PC desktop, especially the diagram on the far right, which is a clue for a code. Return to the far left and interact with the chain console control panel. Adjust the height of the colored lamps to match the diagram from the computer by pressing the buttons: purple/orange twice, yellow/green once, and blue twice. This will reveal stairs leading down. In the Secret Corridor, examine the courier clothes if desired, then enter the doorway at the far left. In the new secret room, examine the diary and then the Beta Type Consciousness Transmission Device to find 'The End (6/8) - The Research Information of Consciousness Transmission Device'. Speak with Charles, then go to the far right of the room to find and grab the Crowbar. Return to Charles and use the Crowbar on the holding cell door to free him. This action unlocks the 'The Story of Rescuing the White Mustache' Trophy/Achievement.

Decision Time: After returning to the lab with Charles, you will be presented with two questions. The first choice has no impact, but the second choice determines which of two Achievements you unlock. To unlock both, you must reload an earlier save file.

Turn it off: Choosing to 'Turn off the equipment' unlocks 'The Liberation' Trophy/Achievement and the 'The End (7/8) - The History Between Edward and Luna' File. You can then skip to 'The Final Confrontation'.

Keep it on: Choosing to 'Leave the equipment on' unlocks 'The Benevolence' Trophy/Achievement. This choice means you will NOT be able to unlock one of the new endgame Files. You can then skip to 'The Final Confrontation'.

The Final Confrontation: Regardless of your choice, you will need to return to the secret room where Charles was rescued. Head down the stairs when ready.
